Welcome to the Easter Frittata Brunch!
It’s the time of year again – Easter is just around the corner and that means it’s time to whip up some delicious frittata! A frittata is a type of Italian omelette, made with eggs, vegetables, cheese, and whatever else your heart desires. It’s the perfect way to start off a festive Easter brunch.
Gathering the Ingredients
Before you can start making your frittata, make sure you have all the ingredients you need. You’ll need eggs, cheese, vegetables, and any other fillings you’d like. Here’s a list of some of the most popular ingredients for Easter frittata:
- Eggs
- Shredded cheese
- Onion
- Garlic
- Tomatoes
- Spinach
- Mushrooms
Don’t forget to season your frittata with salt and pepper to taste. You can also add some herbs like oregano, basil, or thyme for extra flavor.
Making the Perfect Frittata
Once you have all your ingredients ready, it’s time to start cooking. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add some olive oil or butter. Add your diced onion and garlic and cook until they’re fragrant and softened, about 3 minutes. Then add your other vegetables and cook until they’re tender, about 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, whisk together your eggs, cheese, and any herbs you’d like to use. Pour your egg mixture into the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Cook until the edges are set and the center is still slightly runny, about 10 minutes.
Finishing the Frittata
Once your frittata is nearly cooked through, place a large plate over the skillet and carefully flip the frittata onto the plate. Slide it back into the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes.
Your frittata is now ready to serve! Cut it into slices and serve with a sprinkle of fresh herbs and a side of toast or roasted potatoes. Enjoy!
