How to Easily Clean an Instant Pot Lid in the Dishwasher
If you’re an avid home cook, chances are you’ve heard of the Instant Pot. This electric pressure cooker is a kitchen staple, capable of cooking a variety of meals in a fraction of the time it would take to cook them traditionally. It’s a must-have for any busy home cook. But when it comes to cleaning the Instant Pot lid, it can become a bit tricky. After all, it’s not like you can just throw it in the dishwasher, right? Wrong! You can, and it’s easier than you think. Read on to learn how to easily clean an Instant Pot lid in the dishwasher.
Step 1: Remove the Inner Lid
The first step in cleaning an Instant Pot lid is to remove the inner lid. This is the small, plastic lid located between the main lid and the base of the Instant Pot. To do this, simply grasp the inner lid by the handle and gently pull it up and away from the main lid. Be sure to hold the main lid in place with one hand as you do this to avoid any potential messes.
Step 2: Clean the Inner Lid
Once the inner lid has been removed, it’s time to give it a thorough cleaning. Start by wiping down the surface of the lid with a damp cloth, making sure to get into all the nooks and crannies. Then, fill a bowl with warm, soapy water and submerge the inner lid in it. After a few minutes of soaking, use a kitchen brush to scrub off any stubborn dirt or food particles. Once the inner lid is clean, rinse it off with warm water and dry it with a soft cloth.
Step 3: Place Both Lids in the Dishwasher
Once the inner lid is clean, it’s time to place both lids in the dishwasher. Start by placing the inner lid on the top rack of the dishwasher, making sure to secure it in place with the handle. Then, place the main lid on the bottom rack, making sure to align the handle with the handle of the inner lid. Finally, close the dishwasher and run a regular cycle.
Step 4: Dry and Reassemble
Once the cycle is finished, open the dishwasher and remove both lids. Dry them off with a soft cloth and then reassemble the Instant Pot lid. To do this, simply reinsert the inner lid into the main lid and secure it in place.
And There You Have It!
You’ve now successfully cleaned your Instant Pot lid in the dishwasher! This simple process should only take a few minutes of your time and will ensure that your Instant Pot lid is as clean as possible. And with that, you’re all set to get cooking!
