Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook until bubbly, about 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth and evaporated milk and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thickened, about 10 minutes. Add the sherry, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and stir until combined. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, combine the turkey, spaghetti, and sauce. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese, almonds, and parsley on top. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve hot.
Tips
If you don’t have sherry, you can substitute white wine or vermouth. You can also use cooked chicken instead of turkey. You can use any type of pasta you like for this recipe- spiral, penne, or rigatoni all work well. To make this dish even more flavorful, try adding 1/4 cup of diced onion, 1/2 cup of frozen peas, or 1 cup of sliced mushrooms to the sauce.
